Much of popular spirituality enhances the self-deceiving belief that we are the center of our universe. We are told that we need to find ourselves or that we can be anything we want to be. Some even teach that by our very own will we are able to make ourselves healthy or even cure ourselves of cancer. These teaching give us the belief that we are the center of our universe.
